VCITY SOFTWARE UPDATE IN PROGRESS - NEW FEATURE

Within the next hours more and more of you will see a new navigation line popping up at the BOTTOM line of all VCity pages.

It is our new "1:1 Direct Chat" and our new "Permanent VCity Chat Room"

How does it work? Here are the basics:

1:1 Direct Chat

You will see a list of all people you follow AND who are presently online (you do not see people who are online and not followed by you!)

a. You can click anyone and start a 1:1 chat with that person.
b. Once you started a 1:1 chat with that person, the person will stay on your chat list. If not online, he is marked with a red dot. You can still leave messages for the person. Your messages should be buffered by the system.
c. You can toggle between several 1:1 chats. If someone sends you a message you will see a red number beside his name indicating the number of unread messages from that person (thats iPhone/android style).
d. You can exchange files with that person in complete privacy.
e. You can block specific persons from contacting you by maintaining your personal "block list", which allows blocking and unblocking of your followers.
f. You can set your status from available (default setting when you are online) to "offline" (nobody will see you and contact you and you cannot contact anyone) or to "invisible" (you can establish chats from your end, but others cannot from their end).

New Chat Room

a - There is a new joint chatroom. You can access it from the new bottom line feature navigation bar of VCity.

b - You can ignore users in the chat room

c - At a later stage you can open your own personal chat rooms and moderate/invite/kick in your personal chat room(s). We open this feature as soon as everybody is a little bit used to the chat room.

General remarks

a - When you move from one wall to another wall your existing chats and chatrooms will NOT stay open! However they will RELOAD and whatever you missed is BUFFERED. This allows you to move around VCity WITHOUT losing any of your 1:1 chats or chat rooms

b - This is a BETA TEST. Lots of shit might happen within the first weeks.

c - All new features have been tested and should work on all major browsers (make sure you run an official and updated browser version) as well as on iPhones and Androids and any other wide spread mobile devices.

d - It will take up to 48 hours until everbody can see and access the new features. We activate by "VCity age"..if you are brandnew to VCity you will be the last one to see and access the new features

e - If it says: You are "not allowed" or "not registered" and you see a warning icon in the bottom line of VCity, you need to log out vCity and then log back into VCity.

f - Did I say this is a beta test and lots of shit might happen??

g - If you log in and the chat calls you "guest" and not by your nickname, you need to wait a few hours and try again. This happens only during the launch of the new features and means, that your profile and propic has not been completely imported to the new chat servers yet....just be patient for a couple of hours please.

h - And yes...lots of shit might happen. But I mentioned that already.
